Supreme Court confers senior designation on 6 former High Court judges

The Supreme Court has conferred senior designation on six former judges of five High Courts, who commenced practice after their retirement from the judiciary.

The Apex Court conferred the senior gown on Ambadas Haribhau Joshi, former judge of the Bombay High Court; Chander Shekhar, former judge of the Delhi High Court; Cyril Thamarai Selvam, former judge of the Madras High Court; and Prithviraj Keshavrao Chavan, former judge of the Bombay High Court.

Rajbir Sehrawat, former judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Raj Mohan Singh, former judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court were also conferred the senior designation.

The decision was taken at a full court meeting held on April 1.
