Second National Lok Adalat of 2025 to be held on May 10 in 28 states/UTs

The second National Lok Adalat of 2025 will be organised in 28 states and Union Territories (UTs) across the country on May 10 under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

In some states and UTs, where the courts were closed due to summer vacations, the Lok Adalat would be held later. The Lok Adalat will be held in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana on June 14; Andaman and Nicobar Islands on June 21; Andhra Pradesh on July 5; and in Gujarat and Karnataka on July 12.

The National Lok Adalat will address a wide range of disputes at both pre-litigation and pending stages, including criminal compoundable offences, traffic challans, plea bargaining, revenue cases, bank recovery matters, motor accident claims and cheque dishonour cases.

It will further address cases related to labour disputes, matrimonial disputes (excluding divorce cases), land acquisition cases, intellectual property rights (IPR) matters, consumer matters, and other civil cases.
