May 16 to be last working day of Justice Bela Trivedi in Supreme Court

After giving a rousing farewell to former Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, the Supreme Court will bid adieu to another of its judge, Justice Bela Madhurya Trivedi, on May 16.

A Ceremonial Bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai, Justice Trivedi and Justice Augustine George Masih will assemble on May 16 to mark the occasion.

Justice Trivedi is scheduled to retire on June 9, 2025.

She was appointed as judge, City Civil and Sessions Court at Ahmedabad on July 10, 1995 and was elevated to the Gujarat High Court on February 17, 2011. She became a judge of the Supreme Court on August 31, 2021.
