Shivendra Dwivedi appointed Additional Advocate General for Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has appointed Shivendra Dwivedi as Additional Advocate General for Himachal Pradesh in the Supreme Court.

The Additional Advocate General will conduct cases related to Himachal Pradesh before the Apex Court.

Advocate Dwivedi has extensive experience of over two decades in civil and criminal litigation, dispute resolution and commercial matters. He is a member of the Bar Council of India and Bar Associations of the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court.

His primary focus has been on constitutional matters, election laws, water disputes, land acquisition & disputes and matters related to white collar crime, including offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act and the Unlawful (Activities) Prevention Act.

He has previously served as the Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana in the Supreme Court and has been a panel lawyer for the Government of India. He has also handled matters for various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in various Judicial/Quasi Judicial Fora.

Advocate Dwivedi expressed his gratitude to the government for his appointment to the office of AAG and for recognising his hard work, integrity and professional commitment.

He assured to put all his endeavours to give his best to represent the State of Himachal Pradesh in the best possible way to uphold the rule of law.

He has further assured to uphold the dignity of the office and interest of the members of the Bar and the Bench.
