UP Governor appoints Justice (retd) Sadhna Rani (Thakur) as Chairperson of UP Public Services Tribunal

The Governor of Uttar Pradesh has appointed retired Justice Sadhna Rani (Thakur) as Chairperson of the UP Public Services Tribunal, effective immediately. This appointment has been made in consultation with the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.

Justice Sadhna Rani Thakur’s extensive judicial experience, gained through distinguished service in various judicial capacities, makes her ideally suited for this new role. Her appointment underscores the state’s commitment to enhancing the tribunal’s effectiveness with proven judicial expertise.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Services Tribunal, established by the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Tribunal) Act of 1976, is vital for resolving public service disputes within the state. The leadership of Mrs. Justice Thakur is anticipated to significantly improve the tribunal’s efficiency and expedite case resolution.
