The Supreme Court of India has declared September 11, 2026 (Friday) as a holiday for the Court and its Registry, while September 12, 2026 (Saturday) will be a holiday for the Registry.
The decision has been taken pursuant to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T) on September 3, 2026, and has been notified by the Supreme Court’s Administration General Branch.
In lieu of the holidays, the Supreme Court has declared November 28, 2026 (Saturday) as a full working day for the Court.
According to the circular dated September 9, 2026, the Registry offices of the Supreme Court will function until 5 PM on November 28.
The notification was issued by Srikanth G. Pai, Additional Registrar (AG), on behalf of the Supreme Court Administration.
The circular has been circulated to all concerned for information and necessary action.
