The Chhattisgarh High Court has disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) related to hospital negligence, specifically addressing concerns over Bilaspur District Hospital’s oxygen plant functionality and Sunday OPD closures.
This development comes after the court was assured that all three oxygen plants are now fully functional and catering to patient needs.
Additionally, the emergency department of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital remains operational 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted medical care.
The state’s compliance report, filed by the Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, was accepted by the court, leading to the disposal of the PIL.
